PLANNING PROCESS ASSESSMENT

  • Do you have a formal planning process that is followed each year and which produces a meaningful strategic direction and operational plans?
  • Is your planning effort and the resultant plans providing real value?
  • Are your plans clear or are they a series of buzz words?
  • Are plans communicated and understood throughout the organization?
  • Do you find there is neither enough time nor resources to execute your plans?
  • Are budgets real expectations or just wishful thinking?
  • If you hold annual planning meetings, is the output worth the time and cost?

If you are not satisfied with your answers to these questions, we will perform an on-site assessment of your existing process.  Thereafter, we provide written recommendations on how you can implement a “world class” planning process.  And if you don’t have a planning process, we will provide suggestions on how to implement one customized to your specific needs.

The most important step in effective planning is to have a process that enables an organization to produce meaningful and manageable plans.  The assessment is an opportunity to improve the process.  While existing plans are scrutinized, the focus is not on passing judgment but determining what changes need to be made in the process.

We spend a half-day at your location reviewing your planning documents and interviewing selected management and staff members.  Our report describes the strengths of your existing process and areas where improvements can be made.  It is sent to you several days after the visit and is followed by a telephone conference call to answer questions and identify possible next steps.

The fee for this service is $1,000* plus travel expenses.  No expenses are charged in the Greater Los Angeles Area.  Take advantage of this opportunity to ensure that the planning portion of your management process is supporting your aspirations for the future.  And if you feel the findings do not provide value, we will waive the fee!

You may decide to use our facilitation services after you receive the report; however, you are under no obligation to do so.  If we do facilitate a planning meeting, the cost of the assessment will be deducted from the fee.

*The fee may be somewhat higher outside the United States depending on the location.
